San Diego, 2012

We have been on a whirlwind of vacations so I am a bit behind in blogging.
Early in the summer we spent 5 days in San Diego with my mother-in-law, Barbara.  Unfortunately, the weather was not that great; cold, in fact.  That didn't stop Noah.  It was nice; we just kicked back during this trip.  No plans.  Just spend time on the beach.  And we did.  A lot.

My cousin lives in SD and she and her family came and met us on the beach so the kids could play.  Her kids are so beautiful!

We also took and impromptu trip to Winchester, CA to visit the Gourley family.  It was so fun and totally worth the hour and a half drive.  I'm so glad we got to see them and that all the kids got to play.

Noah totally wants to steal this yellow blanket.  He loves yellow blankets.

The beach was so cold that we spent a lot of time in the heated pool at our hotel.  Noah proved that he can swim on his own.  No problem.  It is such a relief to know that he won't drown if he falls into a pool.

On one of our last nights there we got together with David's dad's cousin who lives in an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G home in El Cajon, just outside of SD.  We had a beautiful dinner, great wine, and Noah had fun exploring the breathtaking property.

And, of course, there was time for Noah to show Ed all his games on the ipad.

Thanks for the great time, San Diego.  See you again next summer.
