Easter 2010

Easter 2010 started with a family trip to church and then we went to my dad's cousins house (a yearly tradition). I find it necessary to mention at this point that I am certainly closing in on the mother of the year award. Noah's lunch = three potato chips, two bites of macaroni and cheese and finally.....wait for it....25 jelly bellies. Yes, I know, just give me the award now!

In the past there has always been a huge Easter egg hunt on their beautiful property but since there were only two little-ones this year, we decided to be a little more casual about it. You might notice how well we "hid" the eggs.

Noah did make a little friend while hunting for eggs.
After our family lunch we were hoping that Noah would fall asleep in the car on the way home and then nap until about 5 or so...no such luck. No nap for him! Rather than fight it we just commenced with Easter part two. My parents and David's mom came over and we had Easter presents and another (well two more) Easter egg hunts. I think Noah was a little Easter egged out by the end of the day.

Noah was very excited about his Cars big-boy underwear, even though he isn't quite ready for them yet.

As you can see some of them didn't quite make it in one piece. Noah decided they were for squishing rather than collecting.
Grandma Barbara bought Noah Cars and Elmo eggs.

He was more interested in the jelly bellies inside than he was in collecting the eggs. (yes, he did eat MORE jelly beans...you can judge me now; it's ok).

We ended the day by kicking around Noah's new soccer ball. All in all it was a great Easter.

i love all the family time you have together! grandmas and grandpas get to know their grandchild and the grandchild gets to know them! it seems like that is the way it should be.

Don't let Carter see Noah's underwear. As weird as it would be to us- he would want to steal them.
