Splashin' with friends

This is Carter.  

Noah loves Carter so......

...we took an impromptu trip to California last weekend to visit the Gourley family.  Noah always loves to hang with Carter and this time Aidan (the neighbor boy who is about 6 months older than Noah and Carter) was home, so it was a boys' weekend.  Most of the trip was spent doing some type of water activity with the boys (and Miss Avery, of course).  Noah even found some strangers at the splash park and snagged their kite and flew it for awhile; it was his first time flying a kite and he did great.  Other than Noah's meltdowns that happened every time he didn't get what he wanted (e.g. every 10 minutes--it was great) we had a nice time visiting and playing.  

Aidan and Carter are inseparable--cute.

Thankfully, the couple that Noah "borrowed" the kite from was really nice and showed him how to fly it.

Carter even gave it a whirl.

Day two was spent on the slip-n-slide in the Gourley's backyard.

As always, we had a great time and can't wait to visit again.
