Soccer

Noah played soccer last fall.  It was his first season.  We lucked out with his coach and teammates.  A great group.  The first couple of practices and games were a bit rough.  It.was.really.hot.  Noah was not having it.  Thankfully it started finally started to cool down here in blistering Phoenix.  This rest is history.  Noah excelled.  He even scored the first goal of the season.  It was very exciting and we were so proud of him.  We will definitely be play again next season.

Meet the team:

This is Lorin.  Lorin, hands down, was my favorite player on the team.  She was adorable.  Don't be fooled by these pictures.  She looks like a rockstar with the soccer ball in these, however, it can almost be guaranteed that she is running the wrong way on the field.  She scored one goal during the season and it was for the other team.  It was awesome.  I have never laughed so hard.  Lorin was the best entertainment and her parents were great.  We miss Lorin.

Gabriel was a sweet kid and ended up enjoying the game, but it was a pretty long road.  Let's just say he cried a lot.  A.lot.  This picture is what he looked like for most of the season.  He was sweet, though. 

Ethan was one of the better players.  He was a good hustler, but had quite the temper and would throw fits if he didn't get his way.  Coach pulled him out of the game several times.  I appreciated that he wouldn't let Ethan get away with the fits and aggression.  

Alexis was the coach's daughter.  She was so sweet, but I think we all decided that she would much rather dance around the ball than kick it down the field.  Somebody sign this girl up for dance class!  

Noah really committed to the game.  We were really proud of him.

This is Coach Robb.  He had the patience of Job.  

We miss soccer already.  Noah is really looking forward to playing again.  Unfortunately, they don't have a spring season for his age group so we will have to wait until the fall.
